What Makes This Good Stuff
Our skin can absorb as much chlorine from one shower as our stomachs absorb by drinking chlorinated water all day! If you are filtering your drinking/cooking water, it makes sense to also filter your shower water. Chlorine can also make skin dry and flaky. It can make hair dry and brittle, and ruin hair coloring.
Because children are more profoundly affected by chlorine than adults are, in our home we use a shower filter with a shower head on a hose so that we can even filter water for baths by simply dropping the hose into the tub and filling it that way.
This shower chlorine filter is available in 2 configurations. One option is for municipalities that use chlorine and the other is for those that use chloramine.
If you do not know which one your water treatment facility uses, you can inquire with your municipal offices. Simply Google the name of your town and go to the website. There is usually a link to the water treatment pages where it may say what they use.
Or simply call your water treatment facility and ask them which treatment chemical they use; chlorine? or chloramine? I did and in under one minute I had an answer….chlorine. (Chlorine is more common.)
